Hello! This week I will be reviewing Paperweight by Meg Haston.
Paperweight follows the path of a young girl named Stephanie(Stevie) who is signed up for a 60 day treatment facility in New Mexico. Stevie is slowly starving herself by purging and binging because she thinks that she is the reason why her beloved brother is dead. She agrees to go to the facility only because she doesn't think that she will be there long enough to do her any good because her brother's death "anniversary" is coming up. But, with new knowledge coming to her she realizes, maybe she isn't the reason why he died? This realistic yet tragic tale is amazing and full of emotion as you replay the past and live in the present with Stevie. Her many decisions and tragedies in her life are depressing, yet you keep reading with the urge for more. This novel is amazing because it is so realistic, and wonderful but depressing at the same time and making you experience so many feelings just like you are right there with Stevie. -Camille
